Thornhills Pool - April 20th

Had a quick visit to Thornhills today, primarily to try out some new white Bandums.

It was a very windy and wet day and I had a real battle with my umbrella when the wind picked up!

I fished the same peg as my last visit. I used my GTec feeder rod, 6lb main line with an elasticated banjo feeder loaded with flavoured micro pellets fished close to the tip of the island.

Typical Thornhills Mirror Carp
I fished for three hours and had 7 carp to 5lbs, on white Bandums and yellow pop up boilies.

There was only other person fishing and he blanked, but was probably highly amused at my inability to set up my brollie properly and watching it nearly get blown in.

Not a bad session, however I will probably not be back for a while, time to branch out elsewhere.
